It began with impromptu kitchen dances, the sound of Nat King Cole and the smell of fresh baked cookies filling the air, and what seemed to be endless summer days running around the backyard taking in all that nature has to offer.  I remember distinctively how even at a young age I was intrigued by the spices in the kitchen and all the possibilities that I believed would stem from them. I was a mad scientist with a whisk in one hand and my herbs in the other as I eagerly waited for my family to try my latest creation. I didn’t know it at the time but all of these things would later inspire me to start my own bakery; the smiles and the tales from my family and friends that came from something that I baked has filled me with such an incredible passion for bringing others together by creating unique and delicious recipes. It never fails to amaze me that with just one bite you can take someone back to a favorite trip or childhood memory of theirs.
